Carve pumpkins and indulge in sweet treats on a rooftop in West Town

Visit Chicago’s Homestead On The Roof for a daytime pumpkin carving event surrounded by spooky decor! Sign up here. Admission is $20 per table of 1-4 people (This includes ONE [1] pumpkin and ONE [1] set of carving tools) OR $30 per table of 5-6 people (This includes TWO [2] pumpkins and ONE [1] carving kit). Additional pumpkins can be purchased for $15. Due to limited capacity, there are several time slots. Each pumpkin carving session is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once your session is over, you are welcome to head down to Roots Pizza or West Town Bakery, located right below Homestead. The cocktail menu will be available for purchase, along with small Halloween treats and beverages from West Town Bakery & Diner. Collect leaves for a fun art project at a little oasis right in the city

Visit the Gompers Park Lagoon with your family, a beautiful park with acres of native woodland, wetland, upland, and lagoon habitats within Gompers Park! Say “hi” to the ducks and geese, and let your kids run free for a bit! Collect some colorful leaves, and plan a fun fall-themed art project. I love the rainbow leaf & color sorting project from @hopscotchcity, find a video tutorial on her Instagram page!
